Revelation
Our Story
Born and raised just outside a sleepy Irish village, Revelation Sauce fonder Dave grew up on a diet of unseasoned potatoes, boiled meats, and the occasional rogue clove of garlic if someone got brave.
He spent his teens committing plenty of sins, but his food was very saint-like… spice was for heathens, and sauce came in two forms: brown and red.
By his early twenties, suffocating under the weight of damp Irish skies, Dave packed his bags and moved abroad, where he met Anya. That’s where our story really begins.
Over the last ten years, we’ve travelled and lived around the world, chasing incredible food, unforgettable flavours and the cultures that create them. Somewhere along the way, we had a bit of a revelation.
It was the small bowls of fresh chilli on the tables in Hanoi. Harissa served alongside hummus in Jordan. Wandering through spice markets in Morocco. Masala crisps in India. Korean fried chicken coated in fiery spice. Fresh Mexican salsas that somehow made everything taste better. Wherever we went, one thing was always true: the best meals always had something on the table to bring them to life.
We came home wondering… why would Ireland Ireland deserve anything less? And with that thought, we started experimenting. What began with roasting chillies in a tiny kitchen, blending ingredients and muttering “Jaysus Christ” after every taste test quickly became an obsession.
Our goal wasn’t to create just another hot sauce. We wanted to build a brand inspired by everything we’d discovered around the world, crafted with incredible Irish ingredients, and made for the foods we actually love to eat.
Today, Revelation Sauce is handcrafted in the wild hills of Tipperary, but every bottle carries a little piece of the places that inspired it. It’s a celebration of travel, flavour and the belief that the best meals are never bland.
