Sarah’s Living
Meet Sarah’s Living Founder
I’ve always had an interest in food and knew from a young age that I wanted to be a Chef.
I was born in Ireland and raised in Zimbabwe. We returned to Ireland when I was 16 and that’s when I began my apprenticeship at Maryborough Hotel in Douglas, Cork.
In May 2014 I decided to try and put more time into Sarah’s Living with the end goal of growing it into something more than just a hobby.
I emailed Avoca Café telling them about myself and what I wanted to do with Sarah’s Living and that September I took up a part time position with them as a Pastry Chef in their Malahide Castle kitchen. I loved every moment working with Avoca, the food they produce and all the chefs they work with are second to none.
The Avoca Café Malahide Castle Head Chef, Greg Molloy, asked me to make a few products as a special one day and they sold unbelievably well so I sent a few samples to Avoca head office, and from then I began producing a range of raw treats for all the Avoca shops and cafes throughout Ireland. By Christmas of that year I was working full time for Avoca producing only my raw treats for all of their shops and cafes.
