Zingibeer Ltd, based in Smithfield Dublin, is a family business, owned and operated by father and daughter Kevin and Rachel Byrne.
We have created a refreshing alcoholic ginger beer, using all natural ingredients and without the use of sulphites or other preservatives. We are not beer, flavored with ginger, but rather fermented ginger with a twist of lemon zest and a hint of botanicals resulting in a truly zingy, refreshing and revolutionary ginger beer.
Zingibeer is also naturally GLUTEN FREE ✅ and VEGAN FRIENDLY ✅
Kevin Byrne is the head brewer at Zingibeer and has over 20 years experience in food manufacturing. He studied food science out of school and spent his early career in food manufacturing. In 2010 Kevin started working with one of Dublin’s largest hospitality groups, learning the on trade business and turning his lifelong hobby of home brewing into Dublin’s Persistence Brewing Company. With the onset of the pandemic his business of selling kegs to the on trade disappeared overnight. This quiet time was used to innovate and perfect his ginger beer recipe and, along with his daughter Rachel, he created Zingibeer Irish Ginger Beer.
Rachel Byrne started her career in business banking where her interest in SMEs and start ups was born. This interest, along with a love of all things F&B, paved the way for her later decision to start her own business Zingibeer which she now pursues full time focusing on branding, marketing and trying to get her head around social media!!
